A a holistic sleep consultant I do not support the cry it out method, I only provide gentle sleep strategies and approaches. There are various gentle methods I can offer that are equally as effective and promote strong attachment between both parent and child. You know your child better than anybody! Whilst I do not promote the cry it out method, it is to be expected that at times your little one may be struggling with the adjustment of new sleeping arrangements and routines and a certain level of crying is to be anticipated. Like any child, change is strange but persistence is key and your new routine will quickly become the new norm.

As a qualified sleep consultant it is my role to asses your child’s current sleep patterns and hygiene, identify any issues and create a customised plan tailored to you and your family’s needs.

After an initial 15 minute discovery call to cover what your main issues are and which package would best suit your current situation. Once a Serene Dreams Sleep Package has been purchased, a sleep diary and questionnaire will be sent for you to complete in the following 3 days. This enables me to assess any probable causes that may be affecting your child’s sleep and find a resolution that suits everyone.

The time it takes to establish a new sleep plan for a child can vary widely. It very much depends on the individual child and the complexity of the situation. In some cases, a sleep strategy can be achieved in a few days depending on your child’s adaptability and personality, however in some cases it can take a few weeks. However it is important to note in any case, consistency, planning and patience are key during any transition.
